Thirsty Lion Gastropub is hosting a fundraising and head shaving event for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to bring awareness to childhood cancer.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization. Throughout the month of March, all three Thirsty Lion locations in Tempe, Scottsdale and Gilbert will collect money to donate to the foundation. People can donate on their food bill or they can donate online directly to St. Baldrick’s at their website HERE.
Join St. Baldrick’s Foundation on March 17, at the Thirsty Lion as they host the official head shaving event. The event will be held at the Tempe location (2000 E. Rio Salado Parkway,) from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. People (including Motorwerks CEO Darin Roberge) will get their heads shaved in the restaurant. The event coincides with St. Patty’s Day and will be feature a special St. Patty’s Day menu.
Thirsty Lion is encouraging people to sign up to shave their heads, donate money or host a contest to raise “X” amount of money and choose someone to shave their head if that goal is met.
Below please find St. Baldrick’s link to donate money or sign up to shave your head. Everyone is welcome to participate in this event (even children). Please take a moment and donate if you are unable to attend. Also, feel free to repost and spread the word!
We hope to see you there!
