Hi Friends!

Last weekend I had the privilege of attending the World of Outlaws Knoxville Nationals at the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. I’ll be the first to admit, I wasn’t terribly familiar with Sprint Car Racing, but it’s an awesome racing series, with a ton of intricacies that are unique and interesting and it’s overall just a lot of fun. The race (you can read all about that component of the trip on my Instagram page if you’re interested) wasn’t the primary reason that I was there though.

One of the lesser known things that Motorwerks does is without a doubt our non-profit work. Simply put, we do a lot of it. Since 2019, we’ve worked with over 40 non-profits and helped them raise nearly $25 million dollars. The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum, which sits adjacent to the Knoxville Raceway, is one of those non-profits (donate to them HERE).

It would be easy to think that the most rewarding component of my job would be to do things with cool cars, but that’s definitely not the case. The thing I enjoy the most about Motorwerks is the act of connecting with a non-profit, gauging their strengths and weaknesses, getting to work and then a couple years down the line repeating the process. It remains absolutely amazing to me, the impact that often times not a tremendous amount of money can have on these organizations and then what it allows them to provide the greater community overall.

Walking into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame adorned with contributions that we have made to furthering their fundraising activities and seeing the series of poster boards at the front of the museum highlighting new objectives, components of new exhibitions and best of all plans for a significant expansion, including a big new building, is one of the greatest things that I have felt in a really long time and things like this are not uncommon when you focus your organization towards giving.

That’s not all either…

Within my own walls, working together on a greater mission has brought my team closer together, taught us new skills, made us more efficient and a better all-around organization.

Yes, there’s a little bit of sacrifice involved with taking on missions like this and it is real work, but the benefits both long and short, not only for your organization, but in your community directly and then the world, cannot be underscored. There are serious profits to be had with non-profit work.

If you are a non-profit organization, work with one, or are just a company or individual that’s interested in starting the process of doing this yourself, drop me a line. We can absolutely point you in the right direction to get you started, get you moving forward and help you start accomplishing something similar.

When it comes to stuff like this, we’re absolutely here to help and we always have time for anybody who approaches things like this in the same.

That’s it for this week…
