1,250 Horsepower Hybrid Hypercar Corvette ZR1X Revealed

 

Chevrolet is introducing an all-wheel drive Corvette worthy of the storied ZR1 designation: the 2026 Corvette ZR1X. With 1,250 horsepower1 and electrified all-wheel drive, ZR1X is a true American hypercar and the most advanced Corvette ever. With ZR1 and ZR1X, Chevrolet now has the most powerful American performance car duo of any auto manufacturer. ZR1X features an LT7 twin-turbo V8: 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm, 828 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm coupled with a Front-axle motor: 186 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. GM-estimates a 0-60 time of under 2 seconds and an estimated ¼ mile time under 9 seconds.

PCarMarket Raises Seller Fees

 

PCarMarket announced this week that they will be increasing their 5% fee cap on vehicle listings (applicable to both Auction and MarketPlace). Starting the evening of Friday, June 27th, 2025 fee cap will increase from $5,000 to $7,500. The fee adjustment reportedly enables the auction platforms new ownership to further invest in technology, innovation and customer service.

Rutledge Wood Joins Mecum TV Cast

 

Mecum Auctions is welcoming back automotive personality Rutledge Wood to its broadcast team for live auction coverage on ESPN+. Beginning with the highly anticipated Mecum Florida Summer Special 2025 auction in July, he previously contributed to Mecum’s television coverage in 2014, appearing as a special guest commentator. He will be reuniting with the Mecum broadcast crew on a more permanent basis to enhance ESPN+’s dynamic live-streamed presentations of the world’s largest collector car auctions.

RM Sotheby’s Announces First Hershey Offerings

 

RM Sotheby’s has released its first round of consignments for their 19th annual Hershey sale. The Suzy Q Collection, a warm and wide-ranging group of 51 motor cars curated over two decades by the late Saul “Sonny” Schwartz. A beloved AACA and CCCA member, Schwartz was known for his passion, hospitality, and wide-ranging automotive tastes, which are reflected in the collection’s Brass Era touring cars, CCCA Full Classics, 1950s favorites, and even a military cargo truck. The Suzy Q Collection will be offered entirely without reserve at the Hershey 2025 auction this October.
