Mecum Set to Auction Off Mega Mustangs For Charity
On Saturday, June 7th, the Tulsa Community Foundation Collection will offer an impressive selection of cars at Mecum’s upcoming Tulsa auction with all net proceeds going to charity, benefiting the Tulsa community and beyond for many years to come. Appeals Court Settles Eleanor Copyright Case
The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit settled a dispute between Carroll Shelby Licensing, Inc. and Denice Halicki, the widow of H.B. Halicki, who wrote, directed, and starred in the original Gone in 60 Seconds movie. The three judges ruled that Eleanor, the Ford Mustang that starred in the Gone in 60 Seconds movie franchise, is a prop rather than a character and can’t be protected by copyright law. This ruling may open the doors for the aftermarket and replica/tribute companies.

More Gooding Christie’s Pebble Beach Features Revealed
Gooding Christie’s has announced more headline offerings for their upcoming Pebble Beach sale. Several important automobiles including a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider seen in Italian cinema, a 1958 Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France Berlinetta, a 1952 Jaguar C-Type, a 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 Competition “Cobra Caravan” press car and more are featured and will cross the block August 15-16 during 2025’s installment of Monterey Car Week.

RM Sotheby’s to Offer Ferrari Daytona Trio
RM Sotheby’s via their Sealed division has announced the sale of three Ferrari Daytonas, showcasing the depth and breadth of one of Ferrari’s most iconic models. The 365 GTB/4 Daytona Berlinetta, 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spider and 365 GTB/4 Competizione show that with the Daytona, Ferrari not only had two incredibly competent road cars, but that the platform was versatile enough to become a frontrunner in GT racing on the world stage. All three examples come from long term ownership and bidding will close on Thursday, June 26th.

Lamborghini and Duesenberg Win at the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance
The Greenwich Concours d’Elegance has announced 2025’s Best of Show Concours d’Elegance award winner is a 1932 Duesenberg Model J Disappearing Top Convertible Coupe with coachwork by Murphy owned by Tom Maoli, while Best of Show Concours de Sport was awarded to a 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV owned by Lawrence Auriana. Esteemed collector Ralph Marano served in the honorary role of Grand Marshal while a slate of expert judges, including a group of 55 youth judges, focused on design, style and elegance while selecting this year’s winners.
