Gooding Christie’s Releases Pebble Beach Catalog Along with Another Important California Spider
Gooding Christie’s has published the entirety of its Pebble Beach Auction catalog, revealing the best-kept secret of the upcoming sale: the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider Competizione (Estimate: In Excess of $20,000,000) set to headline the two-day auction event. One of only two alloy-bodied, full competition-specification 250 GT SWB California Spiders built, this offering is among the most significant cars to ever come to public auction. Alongside this California Spider Competizione, the rest of the Gooding Christie’s catalogue of offerings will cross the auction block on Friday, August 15 and Saturday, August 16 at the company’s renowned Pebble Beach marquee.

RM Sotheby’s is set to return to the iconic Portola Hotel and Monterey Conference Center, marking the auction houses 28th year on the Monterey Peninsula. Known for its unparalleled atmosphere and legacy of offering the world’s very best automobiles, this year’s event is poised to be another unforgettable chapter in the history of this long-standing auction. Headlining this year’s installment is a 1993 Ferrari F40 LM, 1995 Ferrari F50 and a 1955 Ferrari 375 Plus Spider.
